BRIEF
The project’s ethos relies on offering a product that considers all parts of its life cycle. From its ownership to its decomposition, the goal is to ensure every product component has been carefully thought of, in terms
of sustainability.
APPROACH
The product itself is be comprised of two primary elements. The first is a felted soap that will be conducted based on ingredient research and its relationship with human skin. Secondly, they will be tightly packaged in a textile bag that will act as a transportation bag, a shower soap holder and as a tag with instructions on how to use the product.
OUTCOME
The soaps are also made of all-natural materials that are locally sourced. Felting was incorporated for the many benefits it offers, but also because it increases the soap’s longevity, thereby decreasing the soap consumption rate. As for the product itself, the bag is versatile as it can be used as a toiletry bag or eventually as a tote bag.

PROJECT INFORMATION
BRIEF
This project is rooted in the ambition to create a product whose entire life cycle is deliberately considered—from its use to its eventual decomposition. The goal was to design an object in which every component is thoughtfully evaluated through a sustainability lens.
APPROACH
The product is composed of two primary elements. The first is a felted soap developed through research into natural ingredients and their relationship to skin health. The second is a multifunctional textile bag that serves simultaneously as packaging, a transport pouch, a shower-friendly soap holder, and a surface for instructional information. This dual-component system allows each part to support the other while minimizing excess materials.
OUTCOME
The soaps are crafted entirely from natural, locally sourced ingredients. Felting was incorporated not only for its tactile and functional benefits, but because it extends the lifespan of the soap, reducing overall consumption. The accompanying textile bag is designed for continued use beyond the product’s life—functioning as a toiletry pouch or eventually as a lightweight tote—reinforcing the project’s emphasis on longevity, adaptability, and responsible material stewardship.
PROJECT INFORMATION
BRIEF
Design a book sleeve that visually interprets the work of Kehinde Wiley for a large-format publication dedicated to his practice.
APPROACH
The project explored how Wiley’s portraiture bridges contemporary representation with historical reference. Through digital sketching, image treatment, and testing special print applications, I focused on translating what makes his work distinctive: the tension between modern portraiture and ornate Baroque aesthetics. His signature decorative motifs were layered onto a contemporary visual structure, allowing both worlds to coexist within the same composition.
OUTCOME
The final design takes the form of a double cover system. The primary cover, used in the traditional binding process, features a portrait of one of Wiley’s models set against a vivid orange background. A secondary layer, printed on clear acetate, introduces his iconic, hyper-detailed frames and ornamental patterns, functioning as a translucent sleeve placed over the first cover. Together, the two layers create a dimensional reading of Wiley’s work, echoing the richness and complexity of his visual language.
